We have a small farm
in the heart of beautiful Middle Tennessee. We are
proud members of the NDGA and AGS. All of our goats
are double registered and can be triple registered.
Our motto here is quality and not quantity, so all
our goats come pre-spoiled! The entire herd receives
individual attention every day. They are vaccinated
yearly and are on a regular pasture rotation and
deworming schedule.
Of course, when you
have such amazing, versatile animals as the Nigerian
Dwarf, there are also benefits other than
companionship. For their size, their milk production
is unsurpassed. Although we have made soap and sold
soap in the past, our direction and focus is
changing and we will no longer be offering soap for
sale. Although it remains a "stress reliever" for
me, I will only be making enough this year for our
own family use. Now that the Nigerians are gaining in
popularity, we believe the breed will soon encounter
the familiar problems associated with a quick rise
in popularity; namely breeding without thought of
preserving the quality of the animal. Therefore we
have put our own herd under scrutiny and will be
breeding to maintain the correctness of the breed
with heavy emphasis on milk production. The availability of good,
solid stock has certainly paved the way for our show
career!
We invite you in to
see our "kids" at play. They are always so amusing
to spend time with that sometimes I think I should
never go to the barn without my camera in hand!
Please check out our "For Sale" page as well. We
have kids for sale from time to time, as well as the
occasional young adult. Please feel free to contact
us if you have need of a goat for 4-H. We support
that organization with deeply-discounted prices on
wethers.
